Privacy policy
Short version: we use your details to talk to you about your enquiry, and we do not sell them to anyone. Last updated August 07, 2026.
What we collect
- What you type into a form — name, business name, phone, email, trade, city, and whatever you tell us about your situation.
- Basic technical data — IP address, browser, the page you submitted from, and the date and time.
Why we collect it
- To contact you about the enquiry you made
- To keep a record of the consent you gave, which telemarketing law requires
- To detect spam and abuse
Who we share it with
Nobody outside Contractor Institute, other than the suppliers who run our systems on our behalf — our CRM, email and phone providers. They may only process it to deliver those services.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, we do not share it with other contractors, and we do not pass it to lead buyers or data brokers.
How long we keep it
Enquiry records for up to 24 months. Consent records for five years, because telemarketing law requires it. You can ask us to delete sooner.
Your rights
Depending on your state you may have the right to know what we hold, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of any sale or sharing, and not to be treated differently for asking. Email hello@contractor.institute and we will respond within 45 days.
If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we honour it automatically.
Calls and texts
If you ticked the consent box we may call or text you about your enquiry. Reply STOP to any message, or tell us on a call, and it stops. See Do not sell my information to opt out of any sharing.
Children
This site is for business owners and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
